On the 27th April the Government announced their latest form of funding to further prop up the UK economy. With effect from 4 May 2020 we expect many small and medium sized businesses to be able to claim for a ‘bounce back loan’ for up to £50,000. The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is a government grant to reimburse employers for 80% of a ‘furloughed worker’s’ wages or salary, to a cap of £2,500 per month plus employment costs. It is a complex support package that has raised many questions amongst SME business owners. Our Letchworth office  have collaborated with HR Service Centre to discuss the complexities of the scheme and answer any questions you have.
